Handwriting
Ink that feels
like ink.
Write with the pen you already own. Lines follow your pressure and tilt, diagrams snap into shape, and your hand can rest on the screen.
Written with Apple Pencil. Also with S Pen, Surface Pen and Wacom.
How it works
A pen that stays out of your way.
Fountain pen, ballpoint, pencil and highlighter, each in the colors you choose.
Press harder for a bolder line. Tilt a pencil to shade, the way you would on paper.
Hold at the end of a stroke and a wobbly circle, line or arrow straightens itself.
Loop around anything to move it, resize it or change its color.
Up close
Messy hands welcome.
Shapes tidy themselves, the lasso moves a word without rewriting it, and the line stays right under the tip because each app draws ink with its platform’s own low-latency path.
Paper
The right paper for every course.
Pick a paper for a whole notebook or change it page by page.
On your devices
Where it works.
Each app is native, so it can use everything your stylus does.
FAQ
About writing.
Which pens work with BetterNotes?
Apple Pencil on iPad, S Pen and USI pens on Android, and Surface Pen and Wacom pens on Windows. Any capacitive stylus or your finger also works, without pressure.
Can I use my finger to scroll and the pen to write?
Yes. You can set the pen to write and your finger to scroll and zoom, or let both draw.
Can I turn handwriting into typed text?
Search already reads your handwriting on your device. Converting a selection into typed text with the lasso is planned.
Can I add my own paper?
Yes. Import any PDF or image as paper, such as your school’s lab sheet or a planner page.
